How to Care for Your 3D Printed Vessel

Your Lebanon Lavender decorative vessel is crafted using PLA (polylactic acid), a premium plant-based material that produces beautiful, detailed prints. With a little care, your vessel will stay looking its best for years to come.

Where to Use & Display Your Vessel

Keep it indoors

PLA is designed for indoor use. Avoid placing your vessel outdoors or in areas exposed to prolonged heat, such as near radiators, heating vents, or in a hot car. Sustained heat above 140°F (60°C) can cause the material to soften and deform.

Avoid direct sunlight and UV exposure

Extended exposure to direct sunlight or UV light can cause PLA to discolor and become brittle over time. Display your vessel in a spot with indirect or ambient light to preserve its color and structural integrity. A shaded shelf, side table, or interior windowsill away from direct sun is ideal.

Cleaning Your Vessel

Hand wash only

Always hand wash your vessel using cool or lukewarm water and a mild soap. Gently wipe with a soft cloth or sponge — avoid abrasive scrubbers that could scratch the surface.

No dishwasher

Never place your vessel in the dishwasher. The high heat and steam of a dishwasher cycle will cause PLA to warp and deform, permanently damaging its shape.

Dry thoroughly

After washing, dry your vessel promptly with a soft cloth and allow it to air dry completely before use.

Additional Care Tips

  • If using as a vase, consider a small waterproof liner or insert to protect the interior from prolonged water contact
  • Handle with care — while PLA is durable, it can crack if dropped on hard surfaces
  • Dust regularly with a soft, dry cloth to keep it looking its best
  • Store in a cool, dry place if not on display
